A freight train carrying 971 tons of gasoline and 467 tons of diesel fuel departed today from the Bilajari station of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, destined for Armenia.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that 18 railcars loaded with AI-92 gasoline and 8 railcars carrying diesel fuel have departed toward the Boyuk Kasik station.
The cargo will be transported to Armenia via transit through the territory of Georgia.
It should be noted that to date, more than 14,000 tons of diesel fuel and over 4,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline have been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Furthermore, the transit route through Azerbaijan has facilitated the delivery of various goods from Russia to Armenia, including over 34,000 tons of grain, nearly 8,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite.
This logistical operation highlights the ongoing transit capabilities within the region, underscoring Azerbaijan's role as a key transit hub connecting neighboring markets and facilitating essential commodity supply chains across the South Caucasus.
