Real Madrid's left-back Alvaro Carreras has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for English Premier League side Chelsea. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the potential transfer of the 23-year-old defender to the London club is currently under consideration.

Reports indicate that Carreras' candidacy has been discussed during internal meetings involving Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso and the club's management. However, it is emphasized that no formal negotiations have taken place between the parties at this stage.

Chelsea management reportedly views Carreras as a potential replacement for Marc Cucurella, who previously transferred to Real Madrid. The specialized football portal Transfermarkt currently values the former Manchester United player at 50 million euros. The Premier League, widely regarded as one of the most competitive football leagues in the world, often sees significant squad restructuring during transfer windows as clubs seek to bolster their defensive depth to compete for domestic and European honors.
