Two individuals wanted internationally have been extradited to Azerbaijan from the Russian Federation. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan confirmed the successful transfer of Shahruddin Suleyman oglu Goylarov and Elshad Adil oglu Alasgarov, who were detained following official requests for legal assistance.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the extradition was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters dated October 7, 2002. Shahruddin Goylarov was placed on the international wanted list for violating traffic and vehicle operation rules, which resulted in the death of a victim through negligence. Elshad Alasgarov was sought for large-scale fraud involving 15,000 manats. Both individuals had fled Azerbaijan to evade prosecution before being apprehended by Russian law enforcement authorities.

The extradition process was coordinated by the Prosecutor General's Office in collaboration with the special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice. This operation highlights Azerbaijan's active commitment to international legal cooperation and its efforts to ensure that individuals accused of serious crimes are held accountable under the law. Currently, relevant procedural measures regarding both suspects are being continued in Baku and other regional jurisdictions to finalize the investigations.
