Baku Metro CJSC served a total of 20,510,029 passengers in April of this year, marking a continued reliance on the capital's underground transit network.

Koroglu station emerged as the busiest hub during the month, facilitating 1,824,773 passenger trips. Furthermore, the adoption of digital payment methods continues to rise, with 8,057,376 passengers—accounting for 40.3% of the total—utilizing NFC technology for their commutes.
The Baku Metro, which began operations in 1967, remains the backbone of public transportation in the capital of Azerbaijan, connecting major residential, industrial, and commercial districts. In recent years, the Republic of Azerbaijan has prioritized the modernization of the metro system, focusing on technological integration and social inclusivity. This is reflected in the growing demand for the "Accessible Metro" service, which recorded 236 requests in April—a 35.6% increase compared to the previous year—specifically designed to assist passengers with limited mobility and ensure equitable access to urban transport.
