Heavy traffic congestion has been recorded on several main avenues and streets in Baku.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) has released an update on the current traffic situation in the capital of Azerbaijan.
According to the center, high traffic density is currently observed on the following routes:
- Babek Avenue – towards the city center
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue – main road, towards the city center
- Baku–Sumgait highway – towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station
- Ali Mustafayev Street – towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue
- Abdulvahab Salamzade Street – towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue
- Tbilisi Avenue – from "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the center
- 1st Gol Kenari road – towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue
- Binagadi highway – from "Azadliq Avenue" metro station towards Binagadi settlement
- Rashid Behbudov Street – towards the Central Bank
- 28 May Street – from the intersection with Pushkin Street to Rashid Behbudov Street
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street – up to the intersection with Azadliq Avenue
- Yusif Safarov Street – towards the city center
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue – from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards "20 Yanvar" metro station
- Koroghlu Rahimov Street – from the intersection with Academic Hasan Aliyev Street towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue
- Khatai Avenue – towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue
- Mikayil Mushfiq Street – from "Badamdar" circle towards school-lyceum No. 20
- Airport highway – towards "Koroghlu" metro station
Drivers are advised to use alternative routes and strictly adhere to traffic regulations to ensure safety and minimize delays. Traffic congestion in Baku typically intensifies during morning and evening rush hours as commuters travel between the city center and suburban residential areas. The Intelligent Transport Management Center continues to monitor the situation in Azerbaijan's capital, using real-time data to manage vehicle flow and optimize the city's transport infrastructure.
