Traffic congestion is currently being observed on several major roads in Baku.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.
As of now, the following areas are experiencing heavy traffic flow:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
- 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center, which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, continuously monitors the capital's road network to optimize traffic flow. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider alternative roads to avoid delays during peak hours, as the city's infrastructure continues to manage increasing vehicle density.
