Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, impacting the daily commute for many residents.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.

As of the latest report, heavy traffic is being observed in the following locations:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the city center;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) is responsible for monitoring traffic flow in Baku using advanced surveillance and signal control systems. Such congestion is often caused by peak-hour volume, road maintenance works, or minor traffic incidents. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and utilize alternative roads where possible to avoid delays during these peak traffic periods.
