The average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Baku reached 1,381 manats in 2025, reflecting a steady upward trend in the capital's labor market.

The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Baku City Statistics Department that the average monthly wage in the capital has increased by 8.6 percent compared to 2024.

According to preliminary data for 2025, the average monthly nominal salary of hired workers across the Azerbaijan economy grew by 9.3 percent compared to 2024, reaching 1,102.9 manats. The higher figures in Baku compared to the national average highlight the capital's role as the primary economic and industrial hub of Azerbaijan, driven by significant activity in the energy, construction, and service sectors.

Economic analysts note that such wage increases are often linked to the government's ongoing social welfare programs and the dynamic development of the non-oil sector. In recent years, Azerbaijan has implemented various reforms to enhance labor market transparency and improve the living standards of its citizens, ensuring that economic growth is reflected in the household incomes of the population.
