Strong winds are expected to impact Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, and several other regions across Azerbaijan on July 15-16.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a yellow weather warning regarding the anticipated meteorological conditions.
The official forecast indicates that a north-westerly wind will prevail in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has also been issued for Quba, Qusar, Shabran, Siyazan, Khizi, Khachmaz, Hajigabul, Neftchala, Salyan, Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Lerik, Yardimli, Gazakh, Aghstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Gadabay, Dashkasan, Goranboy, Naftalan, Samux, Ganja, Mingachevir, Ordubad, and Julfa, where easterly winds are expected to reach speeds of 13.9-20.7 meters per second.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources advises residents to exercise caution during these weather events. Yellow warnings are typically issued when weather conditions are potentially dangerous, and citizens are encouraged to follow safety guidelines, avoid parking vehicles under trees or unstable structures, and stay updated through official meteorological channels as the situation develops.
