Significant traffic congestion is currently being observed on the main roads of Baku, impacting commuter travel across the capital.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the latest data regarding the traffic situation was released by the Digital Management Center (NIIM). According to the official statement, heavy vehicle density has been recorded on 19 primary routes and intersections.
According to the list provided by the agency, the current situation on the roads is as follows:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of "20 January" metro station;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Abdulvahab Salamzade Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from "20 January" metro station toward the city center;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlıq Avenue;
- 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Dilara Aliyeva Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Yusif Safarov Street, in the direction of the center;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, in the direction of the center;
- Niyazi Street, in the direction of "Azneft" circle;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street toward "20 January" metro station;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Abdulvahab Salamzade Street toward Ahmad Rajabli Street;
- Binagadi highway, in the direction of "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;
- 1st Gol Kanari road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street toward the center;
- Mikayil Mushfig Street, from "Badamdar" circle toward School-Lyceum No. 20;
- Rashid Behbudov Street, in the direction of the Central Bank;
- Koroglu Rahimov Street, from the intersection with Ak. Hasan Aliyev Street toward Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
- Khatai Avenue, in the direction of Heydar Aliyev Avenue.

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes where possible to avoid the current bottlenecks in the capital.
