Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads in Baku, causing delays for commuters across the capital.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official statement regarding the current traffic situation in the city.

As of the latest update, significant density is being observed in the following areas:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • 1st Lakeside Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow in Baku to ensure road safety and efficiency. As the capital of Azerbaijan continues to grow, managing traffic density on key arteries remains a priority for municipal authorities, who frequently utilize smart traffic management systems to mitigate congestion during peak hours.
