Traffic congestion observed on major roads in Baku

Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, causing delays for commuters during peak hours.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital of Azerbaijan.

Current traffic conditions are reported on the following routes:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Binagadi highway, towards the "Azadlig Prospekti" metro station;
  • 1st Lake Side Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Gara Garayev Avenue, from "Gara Garayev" metro station towards "Koroglu" metro station;
  • Rashid Behbudov Street, towards the Central Bank;
  • Khatai Avenue, towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
  • 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
  • 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
  • Afiyaddin Jalilov Street, towards Yusif Safarov Street;
  • Azadlig Avenue, from the intersection with Salatin Asgarova Street to the intersection with Dilara Aliyeva Street;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards "20 Yanvar" metro station;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from in front of the Baku Olympic Stadium to the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Abdulvahab Salamzadeh Street towards Ahmad Rajabli Street;
  • Mikayil Mushfig Street, from the "Badamdar" circle towards School-Lyceum No. 20.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) is responsible for monitoring traffic flow and managing signal systems across the capital to optimize road safety and efficiency. Drivers are encouraged to monitor real-time traffic updates and consider alternative routes to avoid delays in these high-density areas.
