Unstable weather conditions continue to prevail across most of Azerbaijan, characterized by intermittent heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds in various regions. The National Hydrometeorology Service has issued an update regarding the current meteorological situation.

Rainfall levels reached 23 mm in Julfa, 12 mm in Dashkasan, 11 mm in Naftalan, and 9 mm in Ordubad. Other regions, including Quba, Shahdag, Qubadli, Lachin, Zaqatala, and Goranboy, also reported varying levels of rainfall. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, precipitation remained below 1 mm.
The weather system has also brought strong north-westerly winds. The maximum wind speed reached 20 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, while Goranboy recorded 19 m/s, and Naftalan and Dashkasan experienced gusts of up to 18 m/s.
Furthermore, the service reported localized hail events on June 12. Hail with a diameter of 15-20 mm was observed in villages within the Gazakh, Tovuz, and Dashkasan districts. Additional hail, ranging from 10 mm to 15 mm in diameter, was reported in the Tartar, Kalbajar, Lachin, and Zangilan districts throughout the evening.
The National Hydrometeorology Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, is responsible for monitoring climate patterns and issuing weather warnings to ensure public safety. These reports are critical for agricultural planning and infrastructure management across the country, especially during periods of volatile weather.
