Baku Metro CJSC is transitioning to its summer operating schedule, according to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM.

Starting June 16, the Baku Metro will implement a revised timetable. This adjustment is based on the conclusion of the academic year in universities and secondary schools, as well as the onset of the summer holiday season, which typically results in a decrease in passenger traffic.

Under the new schedule, the interval between trains on the "28 May-Ahmedli" section during peak hours will be 2 minutes and 18 seconds on weekdays, 2 minutes and 30 seconds on Saturdays, and 3 minutes on Sundays.

The schedule for the "Bakmil" station and return directions will be published on the official website of the Baku Metro. The schedules for the Purple Line, as well as the "Jafar Jabbarli-Khatai" and "Hazi Aslanov-Ahmedli" sections, will remain unchanged, the statement noted.

The Baku Metro management emphasized that monitoring and control measures will continue throughout the summer period. Reserve trains will be kept on standby to be deployed if necessary to manage passenger flow. The summer schedule will remain in effect until the start of the new academic season.

The Baku Metro, which serves as the primary mode of public transportation in the capital, plays a critical role in the city's infrastructure. It undergoes seasonal adjustments annually to optimize efficiency based on fluctuating ridership patterns throughout the year.
