A working meeting between military cybersecurity specialists from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of Georgia has been held in Baku. The meeting was conducted in accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Ministry of Defense, the discussions took place at the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army. The parties engaged in a detailed exchange of views regarding the expansion of cooperation in the fields of information security and cybersecurity between the military agencies of both nations.
The participants emphasized the critical importance of such bilateral visits for mutual experience exchange in addressing modern digital threats. Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain a strategic partnership in the defense sector, frequently conducting joint military exercises and high-level consultations to ensure regional stability and security in the South Caucasus. This cooperation is part of a broader effort to modernize the defense capabilities of both countries in response to evolving global security challenges.
