Azerbaijan and Armenia have reached an agreement on three draft documents essential for the next stages of the state border delimitation process during the latest meeting of the respective border commissions.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenian media, the announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. "These documents describe the procedure and are primarily technical in nature. Nevertheless, they are vital as they provide the framework for our continued activities in this direction," Grigoryan stated.

The delimitation and demarcation of the state border remain a cornerstone of the ongoing normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Following the restoration of its territorial integrity, Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for the clear definition of borders based on legitimate cartographic evidence and international law. This technical progress is seen as a prerequisite for ensuring long-term stability and security in the South Caucasus region, paving the way for the eventual signing of a comprehensive peace treaty.
