A delegation led by Roman Konečný, Director of the National Security Authority of the Slovak Republic, has concluded an official visit to Azerbaijan.

According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the State Security Service (SSS), the visiting delegation held high-level discussions with the Chief of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Ali Naghiyev. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a range of security issues of mutual interest and explored avenues for deepening cooperation between the two nations.

The visit culminated in the signing of the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Slovak Republic on the exchange and mutual protection of classified information." This document marks a significant step in formalizing intelligence and security collaboration between Baku and Bratislava.

The signing of this agreement reflects the growing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Slovakia. In recent years, both nations have increasingly sought to bolster bilateral ties, particularly in the security, energy, and defense sectors, as Azerbaijan continues to expand its diplomatic and cooperative footprint within the European region.
