Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on February 26 are expected to be changeably cloudy, occasionally gloomy, and primarily dry, according to the latest forecasts.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a statement regarding the upcoming atmospheric conditions. The service noted that drizzly weather may occur in certain areas during the day, accompanied by a south-east wind.
In the capital, the air temperature is projected to be 3-5°C at night and 7-10°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will stand at 764 mm Hg, with relative humidity ranging between 75-85%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation is expected in some areas starting from the afternoon. There is a high probability that precipitation will intensify in specific locations by evening, with snow forecast for mountainous areas. Fog is expected in various regions during the night and morning hours, while the east wind will occasionally strengthen during the day. Regional temperatures will range from 3-7°C at night to 7-12°C during the day, while in the mountains, temperatures will drop to 5-10°C frost at night and reach 0-5°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide accurate data for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal fluctuations are typical for the Caspian region in late February, as the transition from winter to spring often brings a mix of maritime air masses and colder currents from the surrounding mountain ranges.
