A regional meeting involving representatives from Central Asian nations and Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on June 16.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cites information from the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event will bring together delegations from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan to address pressing regional issues.
The agenda for the meeting is set to focus on regional security and stability, economic cooperation, and the expansion of regional connectivity. The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the primary objective of the gathering is to strengthen regional interaction and explore opportunities to enhance trade, transit, and investment flows among the participating countries.
Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for regional stability and connectivity, viewing the integration of Central Asian and South Caucasian transport corridors as a strategic priority. By participating in such multilateral forums, Baku aims to bolster its role as a key transit hub connecting East and West, while contributing to the broader efforts of ensuring long-term security in the region.
