Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy but primarily rainless on the upcoming day, according to official forecasts.
The National Hydrometeorological Service informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the prevailing south-west wind is expected to be replaced by an occasionally intensifying north-west wind during the daytime hours.
In the capital, the air temperature will range between 10-12°C at night and 15-17°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is projected to rise from 753 mm Hg to 758 mm Hg, while relative humidity will fluctuate between 75-80% at night and 60-70% during the day.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry; however, short-term precipitation, lightning, and hail are predicted for some mountainous and foothill districts during the night and evening. There is also a possibility of snow in high-altitude areas. Fog is expected in various locations, with the eastern wind strengthening periodically in certain regions.
Regional temperatures are forecasted at 9-12°C at night and 18-23°C during the day, while in the mountains, temperatures will reach 3-8°C at night and 13-18°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide early warnings for seasonal weather shifts. Such fluctuations in temperature and wind speed are characteristic of the transitional climate in the South Caucasus, where mountainous terrain significantly influences local weather patterns and precipitation levels.
