The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan conducted the final proficiency examinations for the 11th-grade level of full secondary education on March 15 across various regions of the country.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the SEC that the examinations were organized across 267 buildings and 4,645 examination halls in designated cities and districts. To ensure the smooth management of the process, 267 general examination supervisors, 767 examination heads, 5,776 invigilators, 807 security officers for the entrance regime, and 267 building representatives were deployed.
The examinations covered several major administrative divisions, including the Garadagh, Binagadi, Khatai, Surakhani, and Yasamal districts of Baku, as well as Sumgait, Ganja, Mingachevir, Shusha, Lachin, Khankendi, Kalbajar, and Aghdam. Notably, the process included schools in liberated territories, such as Shusha City Secondary School No. 1 and Lachin City Secondary School No. 2, marking a significant step in the restoration of educational services in the Garabagh region.
Special provisions were made for 67 students with physical disabilities, including those with visual impairments and cerebral palsy. Dedicated halls were allocated for these students, and individual assistants were assigned to those with severe visual impairments to facilitate their participation. According to preliminary reports, four individuals were disqualified from the exams for violating regulations by bringing mobile phones into the examination halls.
The State Examination Center is the official body responsible for conducting centralized entrance and leaving examinations in Azerbaijan. These standardized tests are a critical component of the national education system, determining the eligibility of students for higher education institutions. The results for the written components of the exam, which require manual grading, are expected to be announced within the next seven weeks following a thorough evaluation process.
