Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has expressed strong condemnation regarding attacks targeting the Sharif University of Technology, one of the country's most prestigious higher education institutions.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media, that the minister characterized the assault as a direct provocation against Iran's academic and scientific infrastructure.

Araghchi noted that the attack on Sharif University of Technology is equivalent to bombing the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, which is considered one of the world's top technical and research universities. "The Israeli-US aggressors bombed Iran's Sharif University of Technology. This occurred following attacks on other universities. The aggressors will see our strength," the minister stated.

Sharif University of Technology, located in Tehran, is widely regarded as the premier institution for engineering and physical sciences in Iran, often referred to as the "MIT of Iran." The university plays a critical role in the country's technological advancement and research initiatives. This escalation comes amid heightened regional tensions, where educational and civilian infrastructures have increasingly become focal points of diplomatic and military friction.
