Anar Maharramov has been recalled from his post as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Estonia.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a corresponding decree regarding this diplomatic change.
By another decree of the President, Nemet Naghdaliyev has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Estonia.
The appointment of a new ambassador is part of the regular rotation of diplomatic personnel aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Baku and Tallinn. Diplomatic ties between Azerbaijan and Estonia have historically focused on cooperation in digital governance, trade, and regional security, with both nations maintaining active dialogue within various international frameworks.
Anar Maharramov, born in 1978 in Baku, has an extensive background in international law and diplomacy. He began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000 and has served in various diplomatic capacities, including as the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Spain from 2016 to 2021, before his tenure in Estonia. He holds a Doctor of Law degree and is fluent in Spanish, English, Russian, and Turkish.
