Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Ali Asadov expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his significant contributions to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia. The Prime Minister wished the diplomat success in his future endeavors. During the meeting, both parties hailed the high level of friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations and discussed the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors.
Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain a robust strategic partnership, underpinned by major regional energy and transport projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. It is noteworthy that Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has nominated Zurab Pataradze for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, following his tenure in Baku. This transition highlights the importance of diplomatic experience in managing regional administrative and economic relations.
