Another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) has arrived in the city of Zangilan as part of the ongoing resettlement process, marking their return to their native lands after decades of displacement.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the city of Zangilan welcomed 59 families, totaling 235 individuals, on Thursday. The residents have been settled in a modern residential complex designed to meet contemporary living standards. The complex, which covers an area of more than 2 hectares, consists of 12 buildings, including four three-story blocks with 60 apartments and eight two-story townhouse-style buildings with 44 apartments. In total, the site features 104 apartments, with 84 allocated for residents and 20 for service use. The infrastructure includes children's playgrounds, sports areas, bicycle lanes, and both underground and surface parking facilities. According to the Master Plan of Zangilan, the complex is strategically located near schools, kindergartens, and parks.

The resettlement is a key component of the "Great Return" state program, which aims to facilitate the sustainable return of Azerbaijani citizens to territories liberated from occupation. Zangilan, situated in the East Zangezur economic region, is undergoing comprehensive reconstruction, including the development of "smart" infrastructure and international transport links. The Azerbaijani government continues to prioritize the restoration of these regions, ensuring that all returning families are provided with modern housing, social services, and employment opportunities to foster a stable and prosperous life in their ancestral homes.
