The 2025/2026 season of the Azerbaijan Premier League has officially concluded, marking the end of an intense football campaign in the country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the final matchday of Round XXXIII featured a single clash, where Imishli hosted Karvan-Yevlax at the Quba Olympic Sports Complex stadium. The match ended in a 1:1 draw. With this result, Imishli finished the season in 9th place with 34 points, while Karvan-Yevlax, whose relegation from the Premier League had already been confirmed, finished at the bottom of the table in 12th place with 15 points.
In other matches of the final round, Gabala defeated Shamakhi 3-1, Sabah beat Turan Tovuz 2-1, Garabagh secured a 4-3 victory over Sumgait, Neftchi edged past Kapaz 1-0, and Araz-Nakhchivan triumphed over Zira with a 3-2 scoreline. Sabah finished the season as the league champions, followed by Garabagh in second place, Turan Tovuz in third, and Neftchi in fourth.
The Azerbaijan Premier League is the top professional football division in Azerbaijan, contested by 12 clubs. The final standings determine not only the national champion but also the clubs representing Azerbaijan in prestigious European tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Conference League, in the upcoming season.
