The official visit of the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali, to Azerbaijan has concluded.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where the national flags of both nations were flying.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali was seen off at the airport by Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, and other official figures.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Ethiopia have seen a steady increase in engagement in recent years, particularly within the framework of international organizations such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement. This visit serves as a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties, exploring economic cooperation, and enhancing political dialogue between Baku and Addis Ababa. Ethiopia was one of the first African nations to establish diplomatic presence in Azerbaijan, reflecting the strategic importance both countries place on South-South cooperation.
