Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi has outlined the key topics for upcoming discussions with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The announcement was made during a press conference held in Tokyo.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the diplomatic engagement comes as Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov began a two-day official visit to Japan on June 9. The visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.

Azerbaijan and Japan have maintained diplomatic relations since 1992, with cooperation spanning energy, infrastructure, and humanitarian projects. Japan has consistently supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and both nations actively collaborate on regional stability initiatives and economic development programs within the South Caucasus.
