The selection of university majors for the student admission competition to higher education institutions in Azerbaijan is currently underway.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the State Examination Center (SEC), applicants must enter and confirm their preferred majors in the “Electronic Major Selection Application for Applicants (Sub-bachelors)” by 23:59 on August 19.
As of 09:45 on August 18, a total of 70,428 applicants and sub-bachelors have successfully confirmed their applications. Participation in the admission competition is strictly limited to those who have finalized and confirmed their applications within the designated timeframe.
The SEC has emphasized that candidates seeking guidance on the application process, competition rules, or important considerations during major selection can visit the “Applicant Advisory Centers.” These centers operate free of charge and are located at 10 higher education institutions, within the regional divisions of the State Examination Center, and across more than 50 district education sectors on specified dates.
The university admission process in Azerbaijan is a centralized system managed by the State Examination Center, designed to ensure transparency and merit-based placement for students entering higher education. This system plays a critical role in the country's educational infrastructure, facilitating the transition of thousands of students into academic programs annually.
