A local resident has been detained by police officers in the Zardab district for intentionally starting a fire in the village of Huseynkhanli.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, investigations revealed that the arson was committed by a village resident identified as A. Guliyev.
The incident resulted in the burning of approximately one hectare of dry grassland. Law enforcement authorities have initiated legal proceedings against the suspect in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Arson incidents involving agricultural land and dry vegetation are treated seriously by Azerbaijani authorities, particularly during dry seasons when the risk of wildfires spreading to residential areas or critical infrastructure is significantly elevated.
