Temporary power outages will occur today in several areas of the Surakhani district in Baku due to scheduled maintenance work.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Azerishig ASC announced that the Surakhani District Energy Supply and Sales Department will be conducting planned repairs on the electrical grid. As a result, electricity supply will be restricted from 10:00 to 16:00 in specific residential sectors.
The power interruptions will affect the following locations:
- Amirjan settlement: Sattar Bahlulzade Street
- Bulbula settlement: Chingiz Nasirov, Nariman Narimanov, and Vugar Badalov streets
Azerishig ASC noted that once the maintenance work is completed, the affected areas will be provided with a more stable and high-quality electricity supply. These technical upgrades are part of a broader initiative in Azerbaijan to modernize the aging energy infrastructure and ensure the reliability of the power distribution network in the capital and surrounding regions.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has significantly invested in its energy sector, focusing on the reconstruction of substations and the installation of modern digital meters to minimize transmission losses. Such scheduled maintenance activities are routine measures taken by the national power operator to prevent emergency outages and improve service efficiency for consumers in Baku.
