An earthquake has been recorded in the Shahbuz district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Earthquake Research Bureau of the Republican Seismic Survey Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) reported the seismic event.
The tremors, which measured a magnitude of 3.0, occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers and were felt by local residents in the area.
The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an exclave of Azerbaijan, is situated in a seismically active region. The Republican Seismic Survey Center maintains an extensive network of monitoring stations across the country to track tectonic movements and provide timely data to the public and relevant government agencies regarding seismic risks.
