Only the naval forces of Iran and China are currently permitted to navigate through the Strait of Hormuz, according to official reports.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this information was released via the official Telegram channel of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The statement emphasized that maritime traffic in the region has faced significant restrictions.

"The latest imagery regarding the position of vessels around the Strait of Hormuz shows that the majority of ships are stationed on both sides of the strait, unwilling to accept the risks associated with passage," the report stated. Furthermore, it was noted that a specific ban has been placed on US vessels entering the Persian Gulf.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most strategically important chokepoints, serving as the primary maritime route for oil exports from the Middle East to global markets. Approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption passes through this narrow waterway daily. The current restrictions come amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region, affecting international shipping security and global energy supply chains. Control over the strait remains a focal point of regional security dynamics involving major global powers and coastal states.
