Law enforcement authorities have successfully apprehended individuals suspected of committing a series of thefts from residential homes and a hotel in the Khachmaz district of Azerbaijan.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Guba regional group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) press service, the operation led to the arrest of 46-year-old Jalal Safaraliyev, who has a prior criminal record, and his associate, 29-year-old Chingiz Mammadov.
Investigations revealed that the suspects had broken into several residences, stealing jewelry, watches, and electronic equipment. The total financial damage caused to the victims is estimated at approximately 50,000 manats.
In a separate operation, police also detained 42-year-old Rashad Karimov, who is suspected of theft from a local hotel and other residential properties in the Khachmaz district. Authorities determined that he had stolen two mobile phones, cash, and bank cards from the premises.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding these incidents. By court order, all three suspects have been placed in pre-trial detention as the investigation continues.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts such operations across the regions of Azerbaijan to maintain public order and ensure the security of private property. These arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat property crimes and bring perpetrators to justice.
