İranda internet kəsintisi 54-cü gündə

Internet restrictions in Iran have entered their 54th day, significantly impacting global connectivity across the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the "NetBlocks" internet monitoring service has released data indicating that disruptions to global networks reached a milestone on Wednesday. According to the report, the total duration of the connectivity interruptions has now exceeded 1,272 hours.

NetBlocks stated that the ongoing restrictions are disproportionate in nature. The organization suggested that such measures are often implemented to obscure potential human rights violations and limit the dissemination of information regarding internal developments. These disruptions hinder the ability of citizens to access essential services and communicate with the outside world.

Internet shutdowns are a recurring tool used by various administrations globally during periods of social or political unrest to maintain control over the information landscape. International observers and digital rights groups frequently condemn these actions, highlighting that restricted access to the global web undermines freedom of expression and transparency. For Azerbaijan, monitoring such digital infrastructure developments in neighboring states remains a point of interest regarding regional communication and stability.
