Law enforcement authorities in the Imishli region have successfully removed 10 kilograms of narcotics from illicit circulation.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Shirvan regional group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) press service, officers from the Imishli District Police Department conducted a targeted operation resulting in the arrest of 40-year-old X. Nurmammadova, who is suspected of organizing the illegal drug trade.
During the search, over 10 kilograms of narcotic substances were discovered and seized. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and the court has ordered a pre-trial detention measure for the suspect.
The fight against drug trafficking remains a priority for law enforcement agencies across Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts nationwide operations to dismantle drug distribution networks, aiming to protect public health and maintain security within the country.
