New passenger pick-up and drop-off points have been established along bus lanes in Baku to ensure efficient traffic management and passenger safety. The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) announced that these designated areas are located in the Sabail and Nasimi districts of the capital.
According to information provided by AYNA to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the new points are situated on Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, specifically between Pushkin Street and Azadlig Avenue. Additionally, a dedicated zone has been created on Azadlig Avenue in front of the US Embassy. Relevant road signs have been installed to guide motorists and ensure compliance with the new regulations.
These measures are part of a broader initiative in Azerbaijan to modernize urban transport infrastructure and reduce congestion in the capital. By providing specific locations for private vehicles to stop, the authorities aim to prevent unauthorized parking in bus lanes, thereby ensuring the uninterrupted movement of public transport. This initiative aligns with the ongoing efforts of the Republic of Azerbaijan to enhance road safety and optimize the city's transport network for both residents and visitors.
