Bakıda WUF13 üçün xüsusi hərəkət zolaqları təşkil ediləcək

Temporary special traffic lanes will be established on several streets and avenues in Baku as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which is scheduled to take place in the capital from May 17-22.

The Azerbaijan Yerüstü Nəqliyyat Agentliyi (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport informed Operative Information Center-OMM that these temporary lanes will be created on Heydar Aliyev Avenue - Airport Highway, as well as Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov, Mehdi Abbasov, Mikayil Aliyev, Yusif Safarov, and Mikayil Mushfig streets.

According to the official statement, these lanes will become operational only after the installation of relevant road signs. Until the signs are officially placed, all vehicles are permitted to use these lanes. The measures aim to ensure the seamless movement of official delegations and participants during the high-level international event.

WUF13 is organized through close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). More than 20,000 participants from various countries have already registered for the forum. The event serves as a premier global platform for discussing sustainable urbanization, "smart cities," and innovative urban solutions. Hosting such a significant gathering underscores Azerbaijan's growing role as a hub for international diplomacy and its commitment to global urban development goals.
