Azericard clarifies technical issues with card transactions

Technical issues affecting card transactions at several banks in Azerbaijan are not originating from Azericard LLC.

This statement was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the company.

According to the information, the disruptions occurred due to technical errors during the processing of interbank settlement files, which were independent of Azericard's systems. The company stated: "Duplicate transactions are currently being canceled, and account balances are being gradually restored. The issue will be fully resolved in the near future."

Azericard, established in 1996, serves as one of the leading processing centers in Azerbaijan, providing comprehensive payment solutions and card processing services for a wide network of financial institutions. Such technical glitches, while disruptive to consumers, are typically addressed through standardized interbank reconciliation protocols, ensuring that funds are returned to customer accounts once the settlement errors are rectified.
