Azerbaijan will establish a comprehensive agricultural information and advisory system to support local farmers and boost productivity. The initiative aims to streamline agro-ecological data and provide specialized regional guidance on various agricultural products.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this project is outlined in the "State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing Sectors in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030," which was approved by President Ilham Aliyev. Under the program, farmers will also receive extensive training and information regarding the production of organic agricultural products.
The development of the agricultural sector remains a key priority for Azerbaijan as part of its economic diversification strategy to reduce reliance on the oil and gas industry. By implementing modern information-advisory systems, the government seeks to enhance food security, promote sustainable farming practices, and increase the export potential of Azerbaijani agricultural goods to international markets.
