Weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to deteriorate on March 17, with precipitation forecast for several regions. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a statement regarding the upcoming change in atmospheric conditions.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast, mostly without precipitation. However, there is a possibility of light drizzle in some areas during the day. A moderate north-west wind will intensify occasionally in certain locations. The temperature in the capital will range from 5-8°C at night to 8-13°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 758 mm to 764 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 65-80%.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent rain is expected, while snow is forecast for mountainous areas. The precipitation may become intensive in specific locations for short periods before gradually ceasing in most districts by evening. Fog is likely in some areas, and the western wind will strengthen occasionally. Temperatures in the lowlands will reach 12-17°C during the day, while mountainous regions will see lows of -3°C at night and highs of 5-10°C during the day.

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide timely warnings for the public and relevant state agencies. Such fluctuations in March are characteristic of the transitional spring season in the Caucasus region, where maritime and continental air masses frequently interact, leading to sudden shifts in temperature and precipitation levels.
