Weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to deteriorate on March 17, with precipitation forecast for several regions. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a statement regarding the upcoming change in atmospheric conditions.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast, mostly without rain. However, there is a possibility of light drizzle in some areas during the day. A moderate north-west wind will intensify occasionally in certain parts of the capital. The temperature will range from 5-8°C at night to 8-13°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 758 mm to 764 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 65-80%.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation is expected, with snow forecast for mountainous areas. The rainfall may become intense in specific locations for a short period. Most precipitation is expected to gradually cease by the evening. Fog is likely in some areas, and the western wind will strengthen occasionally. Temperatures in the regions will be 5-9°C at night and 12-17°C during the day, while in the mountains, temperatures will drop to between -3°C and 2°C at night and reach 5-10°C during the day.

Such fluctuations in weather conditions during the month of March are characteristic of the transitional spring season in the South Caucasus. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these patterns to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state agencies, ensuring safety and preparedness for sudden temperature drops and increased wind speeds across the Republic.
