The period for providing salary supplements to medical workers serving COVID-19 patients in Baku has been extended. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decree to this effect.

Under the decision, the term for monthly salary supplements for medical personnel providing outpatient care to patients infected with the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) at special outpatient medical centers established under the Baku City Main Health Department has been extended until July 1. This measure ensures that healthcare professionals involved in the ongoing management of the virus continue to receive financial incentives for their services in the capital.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the government of Azerbaijan has implemented various social protection measures for healthcare professionals working on the front lines. These supplements are part of a broader strategy by the Cabinet of Ministers to support the national healthcare system and ensure the continued provision of medical services during the post-pandemic recovery phase. The initiative aims to maintain the motivation of medical staff involved in monitoring and treating active cases within Azerbaijan.
