Temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to rise significantly on March 19, with mercury levels reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius in some regions. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued an official forecast indicating a transition to warmer spring weather across the republic.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast, but primarily rainless. However, there is a possibility of light drizzle in certain areas during the day. Weak fog is anticipated in the morning and at night, accompanied by a south-west wind. The temperature in the capital will range from 5-7°C at night to 10-15°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will drop from 766 mm Hg to 761 mm Hg, while relative humidity is expected to remain between 75-85%.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will be mostly dry, though light precipitation may occur in some areas during the daytime. Moderate eastern winds and occasional fog are forecast. Regional temperatures will fluctuate between 5-10°C at night and 15-20°C during the day. In the mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to be 1-6°C at night and 8-13°C during the day.

Such temperature fluctuations are characteristic of the pre-Novruz period in Azerbaijan, as the country prepares for the arrival of the astronomical spring. The National Hydrometeorological Service, a department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide accurate data for the public, agriculture, and aviation sectors, ensuring safety and preparedness for seasonal weather shifts.
