The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan has released the weather forecast for March 18, predicting a significant warming trend across the country. According to the forecast, temperatures in certain regions are expected to rise as high as 17 degrees Celsius.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service issued the statement regarding the upcoming climatic changes. The report indicates that the recent period of unstable weather is being replaced by a milder air mass moving across the South Caucasus.
Weather forecast for Baku and the Absheron Peninsula
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, but primarily rainless. However, there is a possibility of light drizzle in some areas during the morning hours. A north-west wind will prevail throughout the day.
The temperature in the capital will range from 5-8°C at night to 10-15°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will stand at 765 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels reaching 80-85% at night and 65-70% during the day.
Forecast for the regions of Azerbaijan
In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation is expected in some areas, with snow forecast for mountainous regions. However, precipitation is expected to gradually cease in most districts during the daytime. Occasional fog is anticipated, and an east wind will strengthen periodically in various locations.
The temperature in the regions will be 5-10°C at night and 12-17°C during the day. In the mountains, temperatures will fluctuate between -3°C and +2°C at night, rising to 7-12°C during the day.
