Starting July 14 and continuing through the end of the week, several regions in Azerbaijan are expected to experience unstable weather conditions, including lightning and hail, according to the National Hydrometeorology Service.
The agency provided this update to the Operative Information Center-OMM, noting that the weather will be intermittently rainy across various mountainous and foothill areas of the country.
Meteorologists have warned that precipitation in some locations may take the form of localized downpours, accompanied by lightning and a risk of hail. Furthermore, there is a potential for increased water levels in some mountain rivers due to the anticipated rainfall.
The National Hydrometeorology Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is responsible for monitoring climate patterns and providing early warnings for extreme weather events. These alerts are crucial for public safety, particularly in rural and mountainous regions where sudden changes in weather can impact agriculture and local infrastructure.
