The electronic student transfer process has officially commenced in Azerbaijan.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the State Agency for Preschool and General Education.
The agency stated that as of 15:00, the electronic transfer system for the 2026–2027 academic year has been activated. The process covers students in grades 2–9 and 11. Parents and guardians can facilitate these transfers through the sy.edu.az portal.
For citizens without internet access, the agency noted that assistance is available through the call centers of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education and local education management departments. Additionally, support can be obtained at the agency’s Citizen Service Center or at any ASAN Service center.
The digitalization of student transfers is part of a broader initiative by the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan to enhance transparency and efficiency in the school enrollment and transfer system. By moving these administrative tasks online, the government aims to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for parents and ensure a more streamlined transition for students changing schools or grade levels within the national education system.
