Five new art schools are scheduled to be commissioned in Azerbaijan by the end of this year.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this was announced by Cesaret Valehov, advisor to the Minister of Culture, during a public hearing held by the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Committee on Science and Education. The hearing, titled "Current status and development prospects of art schools," focused on modernizing the country's cultural education infrastructure.

According to the advisor, the new educational institutions will be distributed across several key regions:

  • One in the Bilgah settlement of Baku;
  • One in the city of Ganja;
  • The remaining three will be located in the city of Sheki.

The expansion of art schools is part of Azerbaijan's broader strategy to foster cultural heritage and provide specialized education to the youth in the regions. These institutions play a vital role in preserving traditional Azerbaijani arts while integrating modern pedagogical methods. The Ministry of Culture continues to prioritize the renovation and construction of such facilities to ensure equitable access to creative education across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
