The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan will conduct entrance examinations for higher education institutions on May 24 for applicants in the II and III specialty groups. According to information provided by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the exams will be organized across various regions including Baku, Khankendi, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Shamkir, Agstafa, Gazakh, Sumgait, Absheron, Shamakhi, Mingachevir, Sheki, Zagatala, Barda, Goychay, Ujar, Kurdamir, Shirvan, Sabirabad, Salyan, Lankaran, Jalilabad, Masalli, Guba, and Khachmaz.
The SEC noted that candidates have been able to print their "Admission Tickets" from the official website since May 15. The exams are scheduled to begin at 10:00, with the admission process concluding at 09:45. Participants must present their admission tickets and original identification documents. To ensure a smooth process, 231 exam buildings and 4,206 halls have been allocated, involving thousands of supervisors and security personnel. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide security for the exam centers, which will be sealed prior to the start of the examinations on May 23. A total of 56,847 applicants are expected to participate, with 28,507 candidates for the II specialty group and 28,340 for the III group.
These entrance examinations are a critical component of Azerbaijan's centralized admission system, designed to ensure transparency and merit-based placement in the country's higher education institutions. The SEC, established to oversee the assessment and selection process, implements rigorous security and organizational standards to maintain the integrity of the testing environment. Special arrangements have also been made for 82 applicants with physical disabilities, including individual supervisors and accessible halls, reflecting Azerbaijan's commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities for all students.
