The State Agency for Science and Higher Education has announced new leadership appointments at the Agjabadi Pedagogical College, marking a strategic shift in the institution's administrative management.
According to information provided by the agency to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Ahad Mammadov has been appointed as the director of the Agjabadi Pedagogical College, while Jalal Bayramov has been named the deputy director for academic affairs.
Ahad Mammadov holds a bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching from the Shaki branch of the Azerbaijan Teachers Institute and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Organization of Education at ADA University. His career began as an English teacher, with experience at various institutions, including Secondary School No. 93 and the A. Mammadov Secondary School No. 1 in Tartar. Since 2025, he has served as the deputy director for academic affairs at the Agjabadi Pedagogical College, and he had been serving as the acting director since February 2026.
Jalal Bayramov, the new deputy director for academic affairs, holds a degree in Biology Teaching from Ganja State University. His professional background includes teaching in schools across the Aghsu, Shaki, and Oghuz regions, and serving as the director of the Ibrahimkand Secondary School in the Shaki district since 2022. Bayramov has participated in numerous educational management training programs, including the "Manifesto of a Teacher" professional development program at ADA University. Notably, he is a veteran of the Patriotic War and has been awarded the "For the Liberation of Fuzuli" and "For the Liberation of Khojavand" medals, as well as the "Professional Youth of the Year" award by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation in 2022.
Pedagogical colleges in Azerbaijan play a critical role in the national education system by preparing qualified teachers for primary and secondary schools.
